2026 Landscape Committee Charter Both Arlington County and the City of Alexandria maintain lists of nonnative invasive plants that are found within their boundaries. The plants on these list should not planted and, if found, should be removed from your patio and foundation beds. In 2024, the Fairlington Villages Board approved a change to mgt of grass: They stopped using herbicides, except for sparingly (e.g., where poison ivy was proliferating), and they began using an organic fertilizer (in their case, leaf compost tea, which Lancaster is applying).
